I can't make a decision between 002mixer and 002rack+command8

I know 002mixer I can't use to control another DAW but it can use to be stand alone mixer, right? I want to use it for live as well.

002rack+command8 is allow me to control another MIDI application not only Pro tools. but it only MIDI control and I can't use it for stand alone, right?

which one you think is the best choice for me?
