Couple pics.

2100 sq. ft rockwool.

R30 insulation in the ceiling. I'm more concerned with R value in the small attic space than anything else

Finillay got a mason to do the columns on the patio.

Lots of work has been going on, but things just don't look a whole lot different from the last update.
I'm getting close to sheetrocking though.

You've come a long way... a loooooooooooooong way.

The columns are nice... I like them a lot.

Brickwork over cement, cinderblock, steel, or wood?

A long way indeed. Ever forward, never straight.

Well, the wood is the structural element that holds up the patio cover. They of course go all the way down to the patio foundation, and they rest on post caps.
The bricks are then set in place around the posts. I'm going to clad the posts in 1x6's, just to make them appear beefier.

It doesn't look like a whole lot has changed inside, but there has been an awful lot of work done.
Still an awful lot more to do.

I was hoping to be sheetrocking by now, but the rockwool took 3 weeks to get in, instead of the 5 days I was told it would take.

Even though my studio is simple and tiny compared to yours, I had delays like that as well. Late starts, engineering on the fly, home depot not have a single straight 2x4, etc.

What tortured me the most was my own procrastination.

That is a decent amount of rock wool... Are you going to fit the electrical soon?

Michael, your place is going to be fantastic. It's great to see the progress. I gotta love the high ceilings. So...when do you take delivery of the Bosendorfer? !!!

lol! Boy, can I relate to that deadline date! :-)

Looks like a great project, Michael. I know how much work you must be going through. Can't wait to see the finished result (as I'm sure you can't either). Keep the pics coming! Congrats!
