multi track recording problem

okai my problem is that when i put waveforms into the multi track session. it stretches to a certain tempo and it messes up my beat. can i turn this off somehow. even when i close the session property box. it stills does this. is there a way where i can jus put it in the multi track without it "expanding".
(expanding is what it says when i put into the multi track from the wave view)

Try right clicking on the track and go into LOOP PROPERTIES--->uncheck the ENABLE LOOPING box
