hooking up my mixer for monitoring
Alright, so this is what I have to do, and I don't know how to do it:
I have a Behringer Eurorack 1204FX-Pro mixer with tape outs going into a Delta 410 soundcard. Outs 1-2 from my soundcard go to my monitors, and 3-4 used to go to my headphone amp, but there was no live input coming through the phones, and when I'm recording people other than myself, this is unacceptable. I want to route an output on the soundcard through my mixer and back into the headphone amp. I've tried putting the output on the card through channel 5/6 and muting it from the main mix, but that didn't work so well. I also tried using the whole Alt 3-4 subgroup, but I never got an actual signal out of that. Can someone help me?

Progger,
> I have a Behringer Eurorack 1204FX-Pro mixer < I'm not familiar with that model, but if it has direct preamp outputs you're all set. See "Using a mixer with a DAW," first in the list on my Articles page: www.ethanwiner.com/articles.html --Ethan

Thanks for the link. It was very informative. I solved the problem a couple days ago using a similar procedure, except that I had to switch the output cables going to my phone amp from aux 2 to aux 1 output. Muted the channel that the card's output was coming into from the main mix, and everything's set.
