Studio Projects B3 Specifically in Omni or Figure-8

Anybody doing this?

I'm curious about using the Omni mode for Decca Tree and more natural sounding close mic'ed cabs without the proximity effect.

Also curious about using the F-8 mode for Blumlein stereo recording.

I've used mine more as Figure-8 (M-S) or omni than cardioid. I'm not a very experienced recordist (in fact, the B3 is the most expensive mic I own, that must say something) so take it for what it's worth but it's a really nice mic to play with, very versatile. I'm thinking about getting another one when money lets me.
