Hi,
What do you think of this MXL 2001 from Marshall elect, as it review says it is the very best vocal/instrument condenser mic at an affordable price......???. Is there any product that Match it, from the quality as well as its price range..??! Thanks |

For a large-diaphragm microphone in that low of a budget, I think the only one I'd go with is an Oktava MC319 which runs for $279 at The Sound Room (www.oktava.com); the only place I'd buy an Oktava. Of course, maybe Audio Technica has 1 or 2 for that low which might be nice (I really don't know though). Also, maybe a Rode Nt1 or an AKG C3000 could be a choice (though I personally prefer the Nt1 over the C3000).
