Stereo Headphone Jack...

...in wallplate.

To put a stereo headphone 1/4" jack in my wallplates, I'll need 3-conductor wire or 2 conductor wire?

thanks!

2-conductor.... which consists of 3 "strands" - 1 hot, 2 cold, 3 ground.

(the "2-conductors" are: hot + GND, and cold + GND)

Be careful not to get 2-conductor UN-shielded wire, though - the term for what you want here in the US is 2-conductor shielded twisted pair. Use the shield for the ground connection, the other two for left and right channels... Steve
