cutting loops within project??? please help me
It is a sad day for me.
I realized i don't really know how to use acid too well. (4.0f pro) I selected a region of the project to loop ... then i recorded some while the looped selection was playing. ok... so when i play it back it just plays the loop selection. I figure i need to make a new loop out of the part i had repeating while i made the recording, but i don't really know how to do that quickly and easily. I was hoping someone could help me out and save me a lot of tinkering... or at least point me in the right tinkering direction ![]() |

ok now that anyone who read this is laughing...
I opened the selected events' regions in the chopper and then opened the new, chopped events in another instance of acid. that seemed to work. then i just penciled them in as long as the new recorded event was, and added that too. Now i am happy. BUT.... does anyone know another way i could have done this?? I actually have been using acid like it was a 4 track all this time and am just seeing how the looping stuff can really be useful ![]() |

Ctrl-M. (Render-To-New-Track)
You can engage LOOP PLAYBACK>draw the loop around the material you want>press CTRL-M (TOOLS>RENDER-TO-NEW-TRACK).

you know i tried that...
it just rendered the whole track, all the full events nothing omitted. i guess i did it wrong. I need to do some practice runs with some crap that i don't really care about so i can do this quicker next time inspiration strikes! thanks ![]() |

oh well that's cool if that works, thanks.
But i was talking about chopping from several tracks at once, and only chopping a part that you have looped. Like for example.... i had a guitar track and then i also had a drum track. There was a part where the two came together and then others where not so much. I selected the good part with the time selection tool, then hit play looped. then i did a vocal ontop of the looping. Then i wanted to have the vocal playing over the loop and not just the loop with a little piece of the vocal.. ok so you know what i mean? I dunno i think i handled it, just wondering your thoughts. ![]() |

i appreciate your help,
i will look for that option. i would post a screen shot i just don't know how to do that. basically just a piece of the song. I can add the other track on top of that. so, just a piece of the song is what i want rendered to new track. I think you gave me the best answer i am gonna get :P thanks for all the help on this board SPINSTERWUN ![]() |
