cheap substitutes
ive been reading up on soundproffing my iso room, and i wand to do something like rc, and then drywall, sheetblock, drywall. What can i use besides expensive auralex rc and sheetblock stuff. What do you use?

First off, Auralux has NOTHING to do with sound isolation unless your refering to limp mass sheeting, and its as expensive as a Mercedes. If your refering to thier foam, it does nothing for iso, only treatment. And as far as economy goes, compared to anything else, RC and sheetrock is VERY cheap. In fact, gyp board is the cheapest mass you can buy. I paid $3 per length for RC, which for what it does is very cheap too. But better do some research on RC, as newer thought may negate how you plan on using it. Look here.
