Cubase VST 5.0 and pro tools???

I had some ADATs dumped to wav files on a pro tools machine and want to import them into Cubase VST 5.0 at home, but whne I do they're all peaked, the guy at the studio took them and played them on Cubase SX and said they worked fine, the sample rates and everything have been checked what else can I try?
