A while ago I posted that updates to Cubase SX 2 were available to bring it up to ver 2.02.. This week I went back to see if anything else was happening and I notice that they have taken the update out !

Just so nobody thinks I'm nuts here is a picture

I noticed on the Cubase forum that there were many reports of crashing with the new update.

Thank god I'm mid-project and couldn't apply the update....... looks like it got pulled because its dodgy and they also introduced several significant regression bugs.......

Not good.....

Hey Bruce - I did a search on the cubase forum and see the complaint's. I haven't had any issues...yet. I guess I should look at falling back to the previous update..

Damn ...

Trying posting on the Cubase forums......

I generally look at the forums for a week or two after a new update comes out before I install it.... if there aren't too many reported problems, it's likely safe to apply the update.

There were too many warning signs in the forums for that last one though... I can't afford DAW downtime due to a company's lack of testing........

Did you try the forums? They are pretty quick and helpful, for the most part........

INDUSTRIAL88 -

If you go to add remove programs and uninstall Cubase SX, then click on automatic, it will give you an option to roll back to a previous version IF...You selected o.k. to backup your files when you did the update.

Hope that helps, and that you did select backup..

ak

sorry to hear that m8

always a good idea to back up all your projects on to their own cd-r or some other rom.

save a lot of grief for it ... and the other rule is not to update unless yer having problems... but with music it can always get better
