There are a couple of plosives here on the vox I think....
The vox is low in the mix to the guit...
the guit tone is flat and subdues....

how are you mic-ing your guit?
You might want to play open chords instead of bar chords.....
you will get a better dynamic on an acoustic and with your recording...

The vox is also wicked dry.....except for where you say.. "that sucked"...
Verb it up a bit man...

Joe

P.S.
if she rides another's knob....
forget about her man.....
there are way too many people in the world to fret over someone who is not interested in you anymore...ya know?

slkeen is on a distinguished road
Well there isn't much here to mix. I like the double vocals. The whole song gets a bit repetitive, need a change. Vocals are OK but you sound like your trying to sing like someone else. Just try using your natural voice and see how that sounds.

dammit...I can never get these Geocities sites to work for me. All I get is "sorry, page not available."

I gave it an honest effort, lol.

Doesnt sound too bad, you should throw a pop shield over that mic I say. I agree with slkeen when he said you should try using your own voice. Use a little more of your lungs rather than facial muscles. But that will result in more air, then you should either get a pop shield or make one with a hanger and a pair of your moms old pantyhose. Works alright as a last alternative heh. In terms of mic'ing, mic a little closer so you get more of a proximity effect, then you can back the volumes off a bit. Good work though.

ok, i used an SM58 for both guitar and vox. this wasn't done live. i actually went between natural voice and "fake" voice while singing. i used my yamaha MT400 4 track as mixer and ran everything into cool edit pro 2.0. there was reverb on the vocals, i don't know why it didnt come through on the final mix.
