Filter Boxes?!?

There are lot of Filter boxes such as the Mutator, Sherman Filterbank, Electrix Filter Factory and the Waldorf X-Pole on the market. But which one do you think is the best? Which do you think is the most praiseworthy?

I think the Sherman Filterbank is kind of harsh with its sweeps. The Mutator is pretty pleasant, but I haven't worked with it extensively. I have a Electrix Filter Factory, which works perfectly for my needs. I got it for $90 when guitar center blew out all the Electrix products 3 years ago. I've never even seen an X-pole in person

Line 6 makes a filter modeler, which I believe models all the above units, as well as the classic synth filters- Oberheim, Moog, ARP, Waldorf, etc... I've never used it, but you can probably find it for the same price as any of the real units, and it could give you alot more variety..

Do you know if there are any good filter softwares?

I'm running a Digi001 ProTools LE Factory system with a G4 733 in OS9.2. I have a MoogerFooger and a couple of resonators and distorsions in there, would that be enough?!?

What do I need in order to filter?
