sampletank 2: does anyone have it?

i'm looking for a good soft synth. i'm looking to use it MAINLY for 'real' sounding instruments, but i would also like lots of effects and whatnot available. i am using a protools setup with a digi001.

i've heard lots of good things about sampletank 2L and XL, but i'm not 100% sure about it. i would greatly appreciate any praise, complaints, reviews, comments. i would also appreciate any other soft synth suggestions.
