Roland 8-track?

I am looking for a Roland 8-track cassette recorder. A friend recommended this machine to me. Despite several hours of interet research, I have not found any information on it. Did Roland ever make an 8-track cassette machine? Please note that I am referring to a multitracking machine and NOT the low-quality 70s media. Any information is GREATLY appreciated!

Never heard of a Roland 8-track cassette recorder. They make 8 track digital recorders. Tascam made an 8 track cassette recorder.

must have been the tascam 488. i used one for years with great pleasure, before i moved on to the digital roland vs-workstations.
i remember the tape-speed was twice as high as a regular compact-cassette, and you could even make it run faster with the 'pitch'-knob (i used that all the time!).
