Now that MP3.com is history, where can you provide free downloads for fans?

MP3.com was an invaluable source for promoting the music of previous bands I was involved with. Now that they are no more, can anyone recommend any similar sites providing the same services? Free is good. Free without a 3 song limit is even better. Any takers?

I know there are others out there, I just doubt they will have the same huge name recognition MP3.com had.

Huge name recognition is not always a good thing. Microsoft, Sony and Clear Channel enjoy huge name recognition. But most of us do not appreciate what they do with it.

So mp3 getting axed may not have been a bad thing in the long run, although it's hard for me to understand how that could have been a good business decision.

They give you a nice little page, and it seems like a large community of people eager to hear and review your material. Used it for almost 2 weeks now and had some real good feedback for my songs. On Soundclick I have yet to receive any feedback.

Thanks guys. I went ahead and uploaded a song to soundclick but I'll probably put at least one on some of the other sites you mentioned as well. I like the layout of the pages at soundclick. Let me know what you think....
