Vegas Q

Okay,
so now that i have sepnt the good money and got vegas 4.0 and am almost broke... My latency is off... I looked for a tech F.A.Q about good ways of setting latency.. but cant really find any... does anyone have any tips or a good f.a.q?

Hi, chrishisey. I am very new(bi), but MIGHT have some info. I too had a hard time finding a direct answer to my LANTACY problem. I have a new computer, and Vegas. I am however still tring to get by with the onboard NVidia sound. I had latency. i guess the "good" sound cards have less or none.
You may have noticed a mention of ASIO drivers. I have downloaded and used an ASIO driver (just the other day), so far-not bad. After you have the driver installed on you computer, you can impliment it in the "Audio Device" tab in the "Audio Properties" window (I am at work, I think those are the names of those controlls). Only catch now is, I would like something that explains what the adjustable settings mean......ANYBODY????..... But it worked just fine at the settings when installed, don't change em less you understand them. I did, and didn't know the defults, so I reinstalled it.
