Amp modeler opinions?
I'm going direct into my EMU1820 and want to get some different sounds out of my strat.
Who's used what and how'd ya like it? I'm looking at the $250 range. Geoff |

There have been dozens of discussions re: amp simulation (do a search (POD, J Station, Genesis, etc. etc)
I prefer the POD |

They all kinda suck compared to a small tube amp for the same money.

In plug in land Amplitube is great. The Johnson stuff is pretty good like the J-Station.
Many people love POD but the experiences I've had with their stuff was pretty plastic sounding. Then again, none of this stuff is perfect! War Warren Dent www.frontendaudio.com |

and regarding plugins - I think Native Intrument - will be releasing some guitar dedicated modelling suite (amp, cabinet, mic positioning) soon (think tommorow - on MusikMesse show)

I know the opinions of Behringer on here, and for the most part I agree with them, but you might want to check out the Behringer V-amp. I picked it up recently and was pleasantly surprised at how good it sounded.
and at $199, it's 1/3 the price of the Pod Pro. Definately a good value.
