hi Chris.

Sorry you're having problems; i know how frustrating that can be.

Two things come to mind:
- The download of N didn't go well, and that file is corrupted. Try again.
- Your system isn't stable. If Windows has problems, software installs often fail.

The first is easy to check; download the demo and try again. If that doesn't solve it, there are a couple utilities you can try to get your install of Windows fixed...
- SFC is a utility that comes with Windows. You didn't mention which version of Windows you're running, but SFC (System File Checker) comes with Win98 se and up. Open a command prompt and type SFC. You'll get instructions. You'll also need your Windows disk.
- RegClean is a utility from Microsoft that scans the registry for errors. It's fixed more problems for me over the years than i can count. You can get a link to it at AudioMinds on the Trouble Shooting page.
- Prime 95 doesn't fix problems, but it's great for stress testing your PC to make sure it's stable. Again, AudioMinds has a link.

Another thought; anytime you install a new program, be sure and close antivirus and other programs. Always!

HTH
