Rs7k to Triton to cubase
sup fellas
i need some help hoocking up a few midi instruments i have a MPD 16 an rs7k that i want to connect to my triton and have them go into cubase by way of my soundcard (tascam FW 1884) the MPD is just a midi controller which i use just for the pad now what i'm trying to do is have the RS as master midi controller in my setup i want to use the RS to make the drum tracks and finish up the rest of the beat on the triton e.g. bass line, melody ,and whatever else now my soundcard the FW1884 http://www.tascam.com/product_info.php?pid=269 is also an audio/midi interface and control surface (i'm starting to learn its functionalities) this thing has 4 midi in/out and a few audio inputs the rs7k has 1 midi in and a midi out A and midi out B the MPD only has a midi ou the triton has a midi in midi out and midi thru with the help of Flodolo i got this far 1. MPD MIDI OUT into 2. RS MIDI IN 3. RS MIDI OUT into 4. fw1884 MIDI IN 5. fw1884 MIDI OUT into Triton but it doesn't do what i'm looking for the triton midi clock is set to external i've seen some cats with mpc's control their setup with the mpc but no pc so they're no help that's what i like to do with my rs7k, but is it possible to record on the triton while the rs7k is playing a drum track i mean both machines moving at the same tempo cuz like i said above i'll mainly use the rsk7 as a drum machine and efx board as i rather play the keys of the synth for other sounds |
