I'm looking for an entry level compressor. I know the type of reputation the Alesis 3630 has around here but the price is not bad. I've been looking at a Paia stereo compressor also. I'm handy with electronics so I don't see it as being a problem to put together and it's much cheaper. I was curious if anyone has used the Paia compressor or heard anything about it. Or does anyone know of a better compressor for around the same amount of money as the Alesis 3630 ($230-$250 US)?
Thanks nay |

If you decide to buy a pre-built compressor, go for the RNC by FMR. If you end up putting together the Paia, let me know how you like it.

Ditto to RE's comments.
I always wanted to try paia products but without a testimonial or two, my time is too limited to test the DIY paia waters myself. sorry to mooch info off of your hard work, but hey, i'm pretty shameless ![]() |

No problem Rhoadz I think I'm going with the Paia. It is slightly cheaper than the RNC. I'll let you and Recording Engineer know how it goes.
