Does anyone have the RNC? how many?

Im seriously considering buying the RNC compressor and am wondering if having just one satisfies somebody
who just wants to use it for guitar and vocal micing. Im hearing that people are buying two to three units!
It does say that it creates a mono channel for pluging in a single microphone, but people stress that IT IS a
stereo compressor and should get two. So what should I do?
