It's been 10 years since I built my last 400 point TT patch bay - hundreds of hours married to the sodering iron while looking through a magnifying glass. Now building a new one. There must be an easier way. Are there any good patchbays with soderless connectors. Which if any,do you recommend, or should I re-visit my neighborhood hardware store for another 10-lbs of soder.

You could try Audio Accessories at 603-446-3335.
They provide patchbays with punchdown blocks as one of many options (including ELCO/EDAC, Canon, and AMP connectors).

I don't know anything about them, except they're much pricier than I could afford, but I'm not building a 400 point TT bay either.
