Question

What is the best effect unit for bass?I've been looking at a few: Digitech BP-8, ART Nightbass, Zoom 3000B, and Peavey Bass Fex. Which would be considered the best and most versital? Or should I go with something like the Digitech 2101, which I know is a good unit, but it's not really geared for bass. What says you all?

Wink

I'm not really into multi-effects for bass, but you usually can't go wrong with digitech.
Avoid digital distortion but - its crap.
Zoom is ok. But I don't them myself.
For distortion I use a Big Muff Pi.
Or you could use a BOSS Bass OverDrive.
Generally with effects, there is no best unit. It all depends on your taste - if you like the sound the effect gets. But usually go for units which give good depth. I find that zoom units really don't have any depth, and if you are like me I like having lots of bass in my sound, and alot of the effects take that away - dull.
Myself, i'd go for separate pedals.
Its a personal thing I guess.

Cheers,
Chris
