Keyspan usb to serial/mac-midi express xt???

Dual 1.25 G4/OSX.3/Motu Digital Performer 4.12/Midi Express XT

I saw an auction on ebay in which someone had an older motu midi express xt with serial ports. The user was using a Keyspan usb to serial adapter for mac, and was able to use the older serial motu midi express xt on a G4 usb port.

I purchased a Keyspan usb to serial adapter, downloaded the MOTU OS X midi express xt drivers, but ican't get this to work with my serial motu midi express xt.

Has anyone else done this-got an older serial midi express xt to work with the Keyspan usb to serial adapter on a G4?
