midi out with fruity loops

I can't seem to get my MIDI to work at all with fruity loops. To my knowledge, I should be able to use the "insert channel - MIDI OUT" thing to use MIDI as an instrument....but i cant!

any ideas?

to reiterate:

literally, just to use the midi sounds from my onboard audio with fruity loops. aka, add midi out as a channel in FL, then pick an instrument for it to use as it plays what's on that channel's piano roll.

I use the delta 44 for audio though, the midi comes just from my onboard card (which works fine when I use FINALE 2003).

You want the MIDI out to play the onboard synth of your soundcard?

Why not just use Fruity LSD?
