no sound

hello all ,when i got s/f 5.o,,and i have some issues whith it ,,when i try to make a recording with it i cant hear what im playing ihave the monitor button,,,but no soung ,,,any hits on this one,,,,,,,,,, and regards!!!

Did you assign an OUTPUT for SF?

alls is good in my prefrences in sound forge,the outs are enabled to my quatro sound card,,,but if a record a noize ,even know i dont hear it ,at play back i hear it fine???

its just a pain when i use alot of noize in my music ,i like to hear what im doing in sound forge any idea's???

Either you're using a bad crack, or obviously you haven't set the output properly in the s/w, otherwise you WOULD be hearing something....

I use Sound Forge and I can hear perfectly -- WHEN the outputs are set properly.

i have checked everything in the prefrences,and i still dont hear nothing when when i try to record in s/f,maybe im over looking something,but if i record a noize,even tho i dont hear when recording,at playback i hear it fine ,any hints on this ,best regards!!

Some software that come with soundcards will have an option to 'MUTE' during record. It's so ya don't get the nasty feedback.

If you hear everything on playback, you're preferences are probably fine. Check the software that came with the quatro.

MY QUATTRO,IS WIRKING GREAT WITHEVERYTHING ELSE,,,BUT WHEN I WANT TO RECORD AND HEAR IT AT THE SAME TIME YOU KNOW,,IM ALOMOST READY TO GIVE UP ,,,,ANY MORE IDEAS??/

Did you check the properties in the Quatro Control Panel????

Did you check to make sure you have the latest driver from the midiman website installed ? I'm not familiar with S/F, but are there any updates for it ?

I think Quatro is a USB interface is it not ? What OS are you running ? If it's WinXP do you have service pack 1 installed ?
