just wondering how my mic compares to what is out there

Hey everybody

I have been reading a lot of posts and have noticed that there are a ton of mic's out there. I have not seen my brand mentioned so i was wondering if anybody alse has used them and how they liked them. At the time when i bought it, i was just getting into recording and i was on somewhat of a budget. I have no other experiences with condensor mics so i cannot comepare from experience for myself.

It is an audio technica AT3035.

I have gotten a good sound out of it i think. Then again i have never used anything different.

Lots of folks like it. I don't have one, so no first hand experience. Here's a search on this bbs you can peruse.

the audio-technica mics are fab. the at3035 is a solid mic. my fave at mics are the atm 25 and the at4040.

i get to talk to some great audio designers. as to lower priced mics, they speak approvingly of certain audio-technica mics along with some from electro voice, cad and shure.

just because guys talk about something else here on the boards doesn't mean that they're better than your at mic.

I typed in 3035 into the search engine and I got 273 threads. If you do that you will be busy for a while reading all about your mic.

Lot of folks like them.

Blessings, Terry

HOWEVER, what you are gonna have to do is feed your craving...

how does your 3035 stack up compared to other mics? the best way to find out is to USE other mics, see how they react in your hands, with your placement, in your room, with your signal chain...

all interesting things...

borrow mics. have no one to borrow from? start saving up and join the mic buying addict club.
