multi-headphone amp

I want to be able to connect multiple headphones (3) to my mixer.

The mixer has a headphone output (3mW, 100 ohms) but also ST Out and CR Out both of which are quarter inch.
No exotic 'phones are to be used and sound quality of the amp is not very important - just as long as we can hear each other. Its just so microphoned and electric (DI) instruments can jam together without feedback (so I can't use speakers/monitors for the mix)

Ideally each can have its own level. Using the same mix is fine.

What do you recommend?

Is the ART HeadAmp any good?

Instruments:
Violin (miked with Studio Projects B1)
E Piano (DI)
E Bass (DI)

Mixer: Yamaha MG10/2

thanks
Sathyan

I use the Behri HA4700 with stellar results, many others have as well.

Behri Hater's notwithstanding.

I think most any h-phone amp will work if it has the features you need. Just make sure you use all the same headphones, or at least that they share the same specs

Behringer is the best choice, I have tried several headphone amps, finally the only amps that are left in my studio are thebehringer ones.

Oz Audio

I have an Oz audio 6 channel. It is really sweet. Besides being plenty loud, it also has 4 additional inputs that each headphone out can control, so the bass player can have more drums and bass, the guitarist can have more vocals and guit...

Pretty nice once you get it set up.

About $300

I've used several headphone systems - I think the Behringer's work very well. Certainly a good value.

While some people hate Behringer - I think some Behringer gear is very functional (such as the headphone system) in particular for none critical signal paths.

Talking

Yo Yan:

Be wary of flashy cosmetics on any can amp -- high price doesn't always mean good quality.

I use a 4 plug Peavy -- not expensive and does a good job. I once ordered a more expensive unit, didn't work very well at all. Sent it back.

Make sure if you buy via the net that your "vendor" has a return policy. You will usually lose the shipping costs plus insurance if there is any.

One thing I recently discovered. I was getting a flaky sound from my cans a while back; the Peavy sits on the floor and must pick up great amounts of dust, etc.

I took some cotton swabs and very lightly dipped them in vodka and cleaned out each 1/4 female input. No more problem. I also bought this cool 1/4 cleaning device -- graphite stuff on the male cleaner and a female insert [sounds kind of kinky here] which cleans the residue from the male 1/4 plugs. I've done ALL of my plugs and cables -- not expensive and an asset for your studio or set up.
