When recording with the BR-1180, how do u take the reverb sound out?

I have my headphones on and i can hear myself talking, and with a ton of reverb too. I want to not be able to hear my self when im recording

I'm not sure if it's the same, but with the 532 there's a 'loop effects' button you'd press - then using the 'parameter < >' and 'time/value' wheel, the effect (reverb/chorus/doubling) can be rolled back.

Also, on the 532 there is a mic modeling feature (or guitar, depending on the input selected) that can add excess (too much!) color. As you're looking at the time-level display that comes up when you turn the thing on - you can hit the 'parameter < >' so that the cursor is on the 'MIC' text in the upper right (or wherever the MIC effects field is on the 1180) - then turn the 'time/value' wheel to choose the number that has the least color. The first method should work to remove the excess reverb, provided the 1180 is at least similar to the 532.

YOU have to listen to yourself when recording. This is a BIG let down of the BR1180. It makes it hard to record drums as the sound of the drums are going through the headphones and also from the drums themselves so you canny really hear the click track, even with good headphones.

Press 'Reverb' over fader #4, touch the button at the bottom of the channel you're using, and use the wheel to dial it down. Also note that when you mix down onto channels 9/10, it automatically adds rev. to THOSE tracks. After mixing down, I go to Reverb again, go to 9/!0, and turn the reverb level to off, or you end up with more wet sounding tracks than you meant.
