Monitoring problem
I'm not sure if this is an n-track problem or a sound card problem. I'm trying both.
I recently got a new computer and re-installed n-track. Everything works fine EXCEPT I cannot monitor what I'm PLAYING LIVE in the headphones while I'm playing. No problem hearing PLAYBACK through the headphones, but, no joy on anything else. I have the latest version of n-track running on XP. My instruments and mic's go through an 8 channel Eurotrack mixer to an Echo - Gina24 converter and then into my computer. I'm using the 'phones jack on the front of the Gina. It used to work fine on my old computer, but no more. I'm sure it's some little setting, but I don't know what to try to get the LIVE input to route to the phones. At the moment I'm getting by by putting the headphones in line out 1, which lets me monitor in one ear, anyway. Help? Thanks! Eva

Check in Gina's software Console.....first make sure that you dont have the input muted.....then make sure you have the phones output turned up........then make sure you have it routed where you want it to go........

Yeah, i think Gidge is on the right track. This sounds like a sound card mixer setting. Each sound card mixer is a bit different, and i'm not familiar with that card, so i can't say for sure.
Let us know if you find something in the mixer settings. tj

I've got a similar problem. I have a pair of monitors hooked up to outs 1/2, and a heaphone amp to outs 3/4 on a Delta 410 card. When I want to switch between phone and monitors, I just switch it in prefs to monitor from 1/2 to 3/4 or vice versa. I just can't hear the input in the phones!
