Hello...I am a little bit dumb when it comes to MIDI still, so I need some help. I have a Roland XP-10 keyboard, and I need something to help sequence drums and other instruments. My question is...does a drum Machine, such as an Alesis SR-16 double as a sequencer? This is what I heard. Can I use different midi channels on it and sequence/record what I play? or is that BS?
Thanks

AFAIK, that is BS. You could use a drum machine as the clock for a sequencer, but not as a sequencer itself. The Alesis can only sequence itself, in other words.

Cheers!
