Best Snare for Drum 'n' Bass kinda stuff?

Hey,

Before investing in a sweet 10" x 5.5" Mapex "Black Panther" I just wondered what you're opinions were as to the best sounding snare for use in Drum 'n' Bass setups...

Any ideas?

Ta.

Is this for "live" jungle/DnB music?

Already got one. Sounds so nice. It's just that though, its a piccolo. Yes, Its sound is very cutting, but I want the depth.

I considered the new DW Pacific 808 snares, but close up, they are bollocks. The bearing edges are shot to shit. Nice finishes but crap sound.
