Question Power amp question???

I just got a set of Event 20/20 passives and a Peavy power amp (dont remeber the model name).

It puts out 100w peak and 75w continuous per channel.

On the front it has two (one for each channel) SENSITIVITY knobs that go from infinity to +20 i think.

They seem to be volume type knobs.

Is it best to keep these ata lower (less volume) setting and push the mixer output up ...... or crank the power amp and lessen the mixer masrter out level?????

Do these affect the power output or handling or are they input type adjustments??????

The monitors smoke my little Fostex 3.1's.

Its nice not having to use a sub woofer.

There was always a gap in the 3.1's between he lower mids and the sub range.

These 20/20 seem smooth all the way down.

And definitely not as hyped in the high end.

Try to find a good balance between the gain levels. I usually like having the control output knob around 75% for a nice loud level. Then adjust the power amp knobs to match.

Thanks

I have kinda reached that point by trial and error.

Its seems to sound good with the bus outs and master at 7 and the monitor out about halfway with the power amp at about 6 or 7 (relatively).

Those monitors can crank.

I need a better room
