Nashville is on a distinguished road
I need a PC based sampler

Hey folks,

Here's what I am looking for:
Software that essentially replaces an Akai hardware based sampler. I want to run it on my dell laptop. I would be triggering just snare sounds and some other odd stuff, but absolutely no loops.
I don't want plug-ins for some other program, cuz this is for live shows and I want it simple. I will be triggering those sounds via an octopad. I want to be able to plug and play. I want to also be able to take a sound clip from our the recordings or whatever and pull a snare sound out and edit it to be just the snare hit.
The other concern is time delay. I when I trigger it, it needs to be right there, BOOM!
Any ideas? I have been told that bitheadz DS-1 is a possible choice. ANY input here is welcomed. Forgive my ignorance simple minded idea.
Thanks!
Nashville

Thumbs up

try JAZZ++ (freeware)
www.jazzware.com

It works quite well on my Pentium 100 Mhz / 40 Meg RAM / SB PCI 128 sound card

There is good help files, and other resources at the web-site

But that's a MIDI sequencer, not a sampler...
