D70 help needed

I have a D70 without a manual. (Almost 10 years now since I bought it off a friend, who lost the manual around the time I agreed to by the synth, along with a Yamaha 4 track w/ manual)

Question 1:
Does anyone know how to save user patches ?
A1-1 to A8-8 appear to be default
B1-1 to B8-8 is empty

I'd like to add some of the internal instruments ( like basses ) into the B section, or "copy" from internal to "patch"

Question 2:
Does anyone know why there are no effects (reverb & chorus) when PC sends midi to D70 for playback
I get bends and volume changes, but no reverb
I am using Jazzware ( freeware from www.jazzware.com )
