Automating 788 from cubase

Does anybody out there know how to assign Non Registered Parameter Numbers in Cubase so I can automate a mix on my 788. I can change the volume and pan controls etc, but am having no luck in getting the effects automated, which acording to the manual should be possible.
All help appreciated...

OK, here's a little hope...

On the old Tascam 788 hosted forum, there were guys on there who were automating the 788.

Unfortunatly, I don't know what music s/w they were using though. And since the site is gone there is no database with the info either.

Thanks Scott. One day Im sure I'll figure it out, I may be very old and failing in health but I'm sure it'll be worth it....
