dual recto question
i heard if you remove one recto tube and two power tubes, you have a 50 watt amp. and if you want 100, you just put them back in. Is this true?

i dont know if the amp would work that way. i'm in no way an amp expert, but i think that would hurt the amp. but like i said. i dont know much about amps and i could be wrong.

you pull two outer power tubes (or two inner) out and have 50W instead of 100. If you are yousing tube rectifier - you should also pull out one of rectifiers tubes to ensure proper work of an amp.
I tried that and it works completely fine |

... and additionally - when you pulled tubes out - you shoud connect speaker differently - i.e. same impedance speaker to half of this value on amp.
f.e. 8 Ohm cab > 4 Ohm speaker out 16 Ohm cab > 8 Ohm speaker out |
