I've seen you recommend the downloads for "studiobuddy", and another d/l I read about over on the fasoft forum which I think analyzes disc performance/etc.

I saved these links for when i get home, but wanted to ask you If either is a memory hog?

Once these are disabled/closed they don't continue to suck up resources, do they?

I seem to have a pretty resource sensitive computer, and I've just recently gotten it to run half way decent...

StudioBuddy is a stand-alone executable that walks you thru mic placements, and basic mixing stuff. Very helpful. Because it's a stand-alone program (doesn't need to be installed), it's never actually registered with Windows. If it's not registered, it can't run unless YOU run it. So, as soon as you close it, it's closed.

Same with DskBench (i assume that's one you referred to)... stand-alone and not designed to be used while you're recording/mixing.

Though I haven't noticed an increase in spam since I d/l'ed it.

Except for that wierd guy hanging around outside my house this morning... Said he was my "studio buddy"... can of pork shoulder and ham in hand...

You mean THIS guy? Yeah, i see him hanging around my house too. He's harmless..
