using plug-ins

i downloaded both some vst and direct x plugins, but i dont know how to get them into the effects window in n-track. i unzipped them, and it made some dll files, but i have no idea how to get them into n-track

The VST plugins have to be unzipped to the N-track plugins folder which already exists. The DX plugins can be installed anywhere and N-track will automatically detect them.

I'm surprised there wasn't a ReadMe file with the plugin that explained what to do with them.
