Unhappy

Again, the more newbie then newbie me, needs some questions answered. I don't have drums myself, but i'm not bad at them, so i understand the basics of them. But I want to start making drum sequences and all that stuff on the computer, since i'm lacking drums. I have "N-Track 4-Track recorder" and i think i can do beats on it, but i don't know how. Can anyone tell me about a program that can produce great sounding drum beats, thats pretty easy to use? Thanx for listening! - NUFAN aka Jon

Red face

Check out www.fruityloops.com

The demo lets you use 4 different samples to create your beats... register the software and you can use however many as you like... and it's pretty cheap to register it too.

The samples it comes with are pretty bad unless you are into dance music, so you can have a look around on the net for some free samples or you can purchase CD's with samples on. I've got a stack of samples that I've made available to people on here in the past and you are quite welcome to download them yourself. Go back a few months and find the appropriate post from me which has the URL's in the post. You might wanna check out my song in the mp3 mixing forum to see what can be done with Fruity Loops. At the moment I am using it for my drum and bass tracks.

Wink

if you want make yourself some nice sample drum beats, then goto: www.modplug.com and download the 'modplug tracker'. using some basic sample (which like cooperman said, you can get with a bit of searching on the net) you can make some nice beats. the only minor problem is, using the program. but if you know who to write mods and s3m (etc) or even midi (using some of the older win 3.1 progrmas) you should be fine getting the beats together.
