Unhappy

I am running Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 and have to confess something. I record a drum set with only four mics and I am getting an awesome sound. But I only use a snare, bass, hi-hat, ride, crash, and splash. I have one old TEAC condenser and 3 Audio Technica MB 2000L mics. I'm getting an awesome sound, but there is no bass in the bass drum. Can I get good bass using a dynamic mic and EQ?
