Help

is it possible to run out of the MR-8 into a noisegate, compressor, eq, or other aux gear then run it back in?

as in a regular mixerboard (effects in/out)? The answer is no.

But you can always get a small mixer and connect its output to the MR8

If it is possible for you, you can just use the MR8 to lay your tracks down and then transfer them to your pc. Using software like N-track makes an outboard compressor or effects processor not needed.

outboard gear

sure i do it all the time even before i send my tracks to the pc, get a cheap behringer mixer for 49.00, and run your effects through that, youll get batter gain and phantom power for condensor mics also. i like the ability to use my digital delays and graphic eqs and trying to get the exact sound i want before i send to pc, then tweek it there if need be....

Dave,

How do you connect the mixer to the pc? Do you use the standard soundcard and the 1/8 input?

Thanks,
G

I think dave was talking about hooking the mixer to the MR8 so you could use an outboard compressor, etc.
