VF80 Play button COLLAPSED!!!!!

Anyone had this happen??? The button suddenly wouuldn't perform the desired function, and I had to push it firmly to get it to play/record. It finally just collapsed, and I nearly followed along. I am in the middle of 2 very important projects right now, and I am devistated. I know I can send it in, but it takes 3-4 weeks for repair...blah..blah...blah....I can still play/record, but I can barely reach the button, because its down so far....I am pissed.....
