Beat Detective

As of this writing, I'm down in Hollywood where my daughter's band is recording.

The studio is using the full blown Pro Tools setup, and I've just been introduced to Beat Detective. It is absolutely amazing what it does for aligning kicks and snares to the click reference.

Question: is there a plug-in or ?? for Sonar that does what Beat Detective can do?

I will go totally f@*king postal if I find out there is a $US50 plugin that does this automagically!!

Dunno about $50 or automagically, but there was some work in PT to use Beat Detective. None the less, BD works well.

I'd like to find a plugin for Sonar.

creative solution

maybe with a program like drumagog instead of sound replacing immediately, you could export to MIDI (i heard it can do that)...from there you can quantize and then use good samples from the original performance...?
