Help! (Zoom PS-04??)

Hello all, and thanks in advance for any ideas (I realize this is somewhat off topic...)

Until we find another guitarist, I tried recording rhythm guitar parts (along with our drum/bass MIDI tracks) onto my MR-8 to use as live backing. It sounds great, but we have a gig in a week requiring way more space than the MR-8 can handle. One option is to build one song at a time on the MR-8, mix down, and use a CD live, but I find the ability to mix bass/drums/guitar individually through a given PA makes everything sound better.

I tried recording a guitar in Cakewalk Pro Audio, but even using one mono audio track, recorded at 22KHz, it quickly slips out of sync on my 500 MHz Celeron laptop.

Out of desperation I'm leaning toward picking up a Zoom PS-04, transfering over my bass/drum tracks, and dubbing guitar. I'm hoping a few cheap SD cards could cover the gig.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!
