Can't they release a patch that works from the first release for a change?

3.1.1 is pretty darn nice and stable here. I did have some initial issues but once I rebooted they disappeared.

The audio engine is slightly more detailed I noticed. I need to nudge audio clips and wish they would add this protools feature. Once again, they have come across for their users.

Move separat audio tracks "in time" by simple keystroke (in stead of clicking menue "Process" then slide, then select the right parametre then hit ok.... it would be nice to be able to do this just by marking the audio clip and use right&left arrows to move it...

Doh! I use that function all the time in Photoshop. It's even named "Nudge"...

There might be other reasons to "nudge" things...

Maybe I should tell my wife that!

In protools you can align the audio pulses in one track, like the kick, with the pulses in another track, like bass notes, using nudging. I am not sure what the left and right movement keys are but basically you can push an audio clip left or right slightly, test the sound and then go to the next clip.

You can also take the timing from one track and insert a series of audio clips on another track which exactly match the original. Say you want a lo end synth pulse to match a kick drum. First you extract timing from the kick drum audio track then you paste the pulse track automatically at every kick pulse but of course in its own track.

You can do this in Sonar but its very labor intensive.

I believe Wavelab 4.0 has this feature as well...

Is Nudging similar to the Beat Detective function in Pro Tools?
