What electronic drum machines good for MR-8?

I'm considering the Boss DR-3 (Dr. Rhythm). Anyone here using this?

The zoom rt 123 would be a good choice. It worked very
well with my VF08 and it sounds good too.

I have a Boss DR-5 (Dr. Rythm Section) that I love using. I am not sure if the drum quality is better on the DR-3 but I like the fact that on the DR-5 and can add up to 3 other parts like piano/bass/guitar/flute/horns/symphony etc.

You can get them on EBAY for pretty cheap. I got mine for 150.00.

hope that helps!

Can you say more about this? Are the piano, guitar, etc. internal sounds in the machine? That sounds very cool!

It a Drum machine on steroids.

Yes the internal sounds are in the machine. And better yet, they layout of programing the sounds is the same as first six frets of a guitar (all six strings).

SO programming piano parts etc is easy if you know the notes on a guitar neck (I do not play piano so I am lost using a keyboard but I can use the DR-5 easier since I play guitar/bass)

Listen to "Viva Bajo" . I used the DR-5 for drums/persussion/piano/horns. I have many others if you want to hear more.

let me know if you have anymore questions.

I recently acquired a DR-3. It's a very capable machine. While I haven't been overly enamored with the preprogrammed patterns, the thing is totally user programmable...I've programmed my own patterns. You can also define drum kits, combine patterns into songs and stuff like that.

The dr-3 also has bass built-in as well.

The menus can be a little ackward, but if you're patient, it'll do a lot.
