i just blew up my mr8

i plugged in the wrong adaptor. Some one told me i would probably have to replace the reverse protection diode. Can any one give me advice on what to do and if this sounds right? Where would i take my fostex eqipment to have it fixed?

any help would be appreciated.

You could ship it to Fostex or send it to an Authorized Fostex repair shop in your area.Check to see if there is one in your area with this link:

It would probably be better if you gave Fostex a call and ask them what you should do.They'll either reccomend a service center in your area(state) or ask that you send the recorder into them to be repaired.

I have the e-mail address of the top guy at Fostex USA,if you want,I can send it to you through a PM.he has always got back to me REAL quick when I e-mail him with a problem.......don't lose any sleep over it.They'll get you hooked up......hopefully it wont cost a whole lot either.
