Finally got an adat and a mixer- what rack gear will help useful?

Hey guys. I finally got (borrowed) a Mackie mixer and an adat. I have a pretty good mic, and im wondering what you all think should be my next purchase as far as preamp, reverb unit effects etc. The cheaper the better (but that is still decent) cause im saving up to buy my own mixer. I was thinking i should get a pre amp first, but also maybe a compresser and the reverb, or maybe find a combination one. There's so much stuff out there i really didnt know where to start. Thanks

I would grab a TC Electronics M300. A very usable reverb onit, $200 at GC, digital I/O, not a real bad compressor, a solid cheap unit by a company that mostly builds high end gear.-Richie

An ART PRO VLA. I think everyone should have several of these. And several other compressors. Cheap? The RNC is, well, really nice. So's the RNP preamp.

Good Gawd, there's so much out there I wouldn't know where to begin.
